Wooden chairs and furniture stacked up and waiting to be removed

When you are clearing out a garage, renovating a home, or dealing with an estate cleanout in Orlando, the piles of junk add up quickly. But before you point at a pile and ask a junk removal company to take it all, it is important to know that not everything can go in the truck.

Due to Orange County regulations, environmental safety laws, and landfill restrictions, professional haulers have strict guidelines on what they can and cannot accept.

At Top Haul & Yard, we want to make your cleanout as smooth as possible. Here is a clear, straightforward guide to exactly what we can haul away for you, and what you will need to handle differently.

What We CAN Haul Away

Furniture and Household Goods:

Mattresses and box springs, couches, sofas, and recliners, dining tables, chairs, and dressers, old carpets and rugs, cardboard boxes and general household clutter.

Appliances and Electronics:

Refrigerators and freezers, washers and dryers, stoves and ovens, televisions and old computer monitors, printers, stereos, and general electronics.

Yard Waste and Construction Debris:

Tree branches, brush, and storm debris, old fencing and deck wood, scrap lumber and drywall, broken hot tubs or above-ground pools, old patio furniture and lawn ornaments.

Note: Extremely heavy materials like concrete, brick, dirt, or roofing shingles can usually be hauled away but are priced by weight due to higher dump fees.

What We CANNOT Haul Away

As a licensed and insured company, we are legally prohibited from transporting hazardous materials:

Wet Paint (dried paint in cans is okay), Chemicals and Solvents such as pool chemicals, household cleaners, bleach, and pesticides, Flammable Items including gasoline, motor oil, and propane tanks, Pressurized Containers such as helium tanks and aerosol cans, Biohazards including medical waste and needles, and Asbestos.

What to Do With Hazardous Waste in Orlando

Orange County provides a free Household Hazardous Waste drop-off program for residents. You can safely dispose of paints, chemicals, and oils at the Orange County Landfill or designated community drop-off events. Do not throw these items in your regular trash.
